Our IVA was approved in August, but we are STILL getting letters. Today we were even phoned twice in the space of an hour by someone who had bought the Capital One debt even though both we AND the IP had told them (and in fact they voted) about the IVA. I had hoped this would all have stopped by now..anyway..

This has got me thinking about our credit file. If they are still chasing I am assuming the file will still be updated with failure to make payments??

Do we need to do anything to get the correct default date (I am assuming this will be the date the IVA was approved) for each debt lodged with the credit reference agencies?

Or will this eventually all filter through and come the 6 year point the details will be correct?

I hope this all makes sense

it will filter through and you will stop getting them. In the mean time dont worry about them and forward them on to your IP.

Credit will stay against for you six years from the date of your iva approved

This can be such a pain, a good way I found was to get them to check the insolvency register while I was on the phone and they will then see it in black and white.

Hang in there as it WILL stop eventually and you will be left in peace[:)]

You are better off waiting until your IVA is completed before getting creditors to change their entries on your record.

That way you can be sure that nothing else is going to go on there. I don't think that defaults would be removed as yet anyway because if your IVA should fail, you would be back to square one.

I shan't be checking my record until completion.
