Has any poster considered when he/she receceives persistent calls to state "hang on a moment, I am about to record this call" see the reaction - might stop a lot of such harrising calls.

i dont get any phone calls now but it is a good one [8D] here is one for you david in your opinion when your debts have been sold on are they more forthcoming to lower f+f settlements or about the same i am contemplating raising funds to end early i owe £12,950 and have approx 24 months left when i enquired about finishing i was told needed a good reason or the full balance but i thought there would be less fees etc any idea on a rough figure?

I believe once sold the new creditor is more forthcoming.
Why not offer 10k - see what your IP thinks.

That's a good idea, probably (hopefully) won't receive any more so it will spoil the fun.

Yes good idea from David, there are lots of ways you can avoid calls from creditors, I wrote extensively about this in my blog last year if anyone can be bothered to read it, I might even get around to updating it one day.

Nothing cowardly about that.
Damn good idea in my book.
If creditors have anything important to tell you, it will come in the post.
