What a pain in the preverbial these are, i have started a DMP with Vincent Bond and this morning i get a letter from Mint saying they received the proposal etc. BUT VB are'nt recognised by OFT and don't hold a consumer credit licence number !
So MINT won't deal with them and can i do ANOTHER earnings/expenditure sheet for mint, and they won't freeze any interest until i do so .............

So i phone the lovely Louise at VB who says "Mint sometimes do this, no worries she'll phone em " and assures me they have all the relevant licences etc. She will sort them out

Sooooooooo i phoned MINT and told em as i don't have a licence and am not recognised by OFT could they stop phoning me or writing to me [:D][:D][:D]

Childish .....but it made me feel better ..........

I'm trying to do what is right but they just want to put obstacles in the way.......... i might as well go bancrupt and they'll get nothing [V]

I feel sure that Vincent Bond would hold a Consumer Credit Licence as they are a well established company. Mint tried it on with me the other day, and I told them I didn't need one as I have an INSOLVENCY LICENCE!

VB have been great, no worries from them whatsoever, it's just mint , you try and pay them back the best you can , and they aren't intersted , i know i owe them and i know i shouldn't have got in this mess but i did ..........

Maybe the government should have made them beg and kept writing daft excuses , instead of bailing them out so easily [;)]

I can assure you that Mint are mistaken in this instance; we do have a consumer credit licence as of course we could not trade without one.

It is a little confusing that Mint would think this, but if they questioned whether Melanie Giles had a licence then i am less concerned, as she has been working as an insolvency practitioner for a considerable number of years.

We will contact them to clear this up.

Vincent Bond's consumer credit licence number is 0610257.

It is very simple to search on a company to find out this information at http://www2.crw.gov.uk/pr/default.aspx

Hi bitshort,

We've always found Mint to be entirely reasonable in their consideration of debt management proposals so I'm sure Vincent Bond will resolve this quickly for you.

I found Mint very helpful during my IVA proposals.

Very helpful at pushing a DMP with them[:0]

I got a good few letters saying 'Can we help you?, please phone and we can discuss ways of sorting out your finances via a DMP'

But I must admit, I never received one phone call off them, just lots of the same letters
