My hubby and I made ourselves bankrupt on the 11th.....2 days ago, and guess what we received in the post??

Two letters for my hubby from finance companies saying they can have the bankruptcy cancelled!!!

2 days!!! How do they get this info so quick!!

Because they are persistent, and desperate to earn money from innocent people. If you petitioned for your own bankruptcy, why on earth would you want to have it cancelled two days later - which could only be done by way of annulment, and if you could afford to pay your debts in full to be eligible for an annulment, do they honestly think that you would have petitioned.

Name and shame them on the forum so others can be aware of who is doing what.

That's disgraceful! Would they check with the courts about who had gone bankrupt? It wouldn't be on the register that quick would it?

They're after the more gullible of us who don't know what we are doing. I imagine there are people out there who would go to them.

Ive just checked and yes we are on the register already, changed from IVA to BR! Someones efficient!
The companies are:
Turnaround Finance - a company from Leeds, which say they can stop the BR order being advertised, the BR will be cancelled and we will not lose our home!
And...The Bankruptcy Protection Fund LTD, from Manchester who say that they will ensure our creditors are repaid, the BR is cancelled, and the credit ref agencies change their records!

Melanine, you are totally right, if we had the money to pay our creditors, we wouldnt have petitioned for our own BR!!
And i imagine for the BR to be overturned we would need 100% of the debt to be paid back. Anyone got 90k to lend me?!

Oh sorry to jump on the bandwagon here, but the Manchester firm you mentioned sent me 3 letters in 2 days - and i was only BR for 2 days also!!

I think the more people who jump on this bandwagon if they've had these letters, the merrier!

These firms need exposing for the charlatans they are!!!!!!!

What a complete waste of perfectly good trees! What they are saying is absolute tosh - and a complete waste of money. They know nothing about your case, and write to you purporting to do so - I had one letter sent to me the other day by one of these companies addressed to my client using their first name, and signed off by the first name of the person who sent it. Who on earth do these people think they are?

They obviously think that by being friendly, they can gain your confidence more easily, after all, someone who greets you like a long lost friend can't be all bad can they?

That would get my back up straight away. I only like people I know to address me by my first name in a letter, I expect proper businesses to be more professional in their approach until I get to know them.

There must be some that do hand over perfectly good dosh and get nothing in return.

I guess they can get blood from stones, pity they dont just crawl back under the stones they sprang from and leave people who have hit rock bottom alone.

I have no doubt that there are people who believe what they are told by these sort of firms. After all, the people phoning them are salesmen, and we all know how persuasive they can be.
