Thought I would do new topic as it didn't really relate to the thread I posted on last.
Thanks for asking Melanie - yes I think we are sorted for the time being and as there won't be much change at review time then I think it will just go on ok. As suggested on the forum I wrote again to both Capital One and HFC (and Debt Litigation Recover Service who act for HFC becuase we are getting letters from both. I wrote a very strong letter basically saying how their behaviour was causing us distress and that we are both ill. They have both temporarily accepted the offers of payment based on what Philip had left and I pro-rated in accordance with their recommended formula. HFC want a review next April but I have already pointed out the reviews will have to fall in line with my IVA annual review (I think that's right). Work is dreadful and I am putting a "strategy" in place to make a point that my current project team (and particular my manager)are acting out of order. I am contacting the union for advice because there is a drive on "well being at work" and stress related issues at the moment. Also I reduced my hours on health grounds and my doctor is concerned that I am still under stress so he will write a letter, if they don't get the message I will then go off sick for a couple of weeks and on return as for an Occupational Health Assessment. If my manager continues to act inappropriately after the GP's recommendations and the OH assessment he will be in big trouble. All this will then support my case of applying for some new jobs that are coming up (I can move jobs without moving employer) because there is a potential problem about them not releasing me due to "mission critical" work but on the grounds already mentioned I don't think they will dare. The teams for the new jobs coming up are all based in my home location so I won't have any travelling. The good news is that my beautiful elder daughter who is at Uni and suffers from depression is doing extremely well - I saw her a couple of weeks ago for a few days on my own. She is doing very well and getting "first" calibre marks (she is doing German and Spanish) has trips planned with both language societies, is studying Japanese in her spare time, has settled in a house with 5 other girls so has friends now. Is made up because all the new ones on her courses thinks she is wonderful. Its such a relief that she seems to be ok now. I know the depression will rear its head from time to time but I am so pleased and proud of her. The younger one is not too bad but going through the "stroppy" phase and deciding that school is boring, not concentrating and dropping down sets in some subjects - will ahve to work on that. Philip (hubby) is not very well at all. We had a dreadful appt at the hospital a few weeks ago, very arrogant registrar who said we were wasting his time, our GP wrote a very very snotty letter and now got a very quick appointment to see someone else. I ahve been doing some research into his condition and I find, surprisingly, that the top consultant in it is a man at the hospital we are attending anyway and the arrogant registrar should have known all along!!
