Hi. We've just had our IVA approved which was a great relief. We have a daughter who is at college but has not been able to apply for EMA as our incomes have been too high to qualify. Although our incomes remain the same, we are now paying into the IVA so our disposable income is much lower.
Has anybody had any experience of this? Would we now be able to apply for EMA for our daughter?
Many thanks.

Hi BigTed,
Congrats on your IVA by the way.
I doubt if she will be able to apply for that as I think it is on your total income, not disposable income. I know our daughter wasn't able to get it.

Well done Big Ted and I would like to join Kallis in congratulating yourself and your wife. I also agree that your IVA payments will not be taken into account as most people have credit commitments which are not allowed.
