Just had our latest mortgage statement from northern rock and it is still showing the amount that we owe on our unsecured loan with them ! As this was part of our IVA that was approved in july should this still show on the statement ![:)]

No John - but I suspect it is a left hand/right hand issue. No harm in dropping them a note to confirm the IVA and to ask them to remove this debt from your statement, although I suspect that this may not happen until the IVA is satisfactorily concluded.

Should we decide to try and re-mortgage next year.... !!(try ha ha ) They can only charge what is owed on the mortgage is this correct ?

ha ha ... NR . we have bben iva since 2005 and our mortgage statement stll shows the unsecured .... and strangely enough shows some payments being made from it ... not by us . we pay the secure element and thats it .they are obviously just keepigng the intrest payments up to get some money back . we reckon that when we remortgage next year that it will disappear from statementswhen iva concluded. mind by the looks of NR website they wont be giving us a remortgage !!!
