I have had an IVA for approx 18 months which has been paid without any problems. I have received a letter from a debt collection agency referencing an old business account, which I owe £1016. It was missed from the original IVA as at that time the debt was with LLoyds. They have now passed it on to a debt collection company. Obvioulsy I can not pay it and can't really afford to offer them a reasonable monthly settlement as this would be paid through the IVA. Can I have it added on to the IVA and can they chase me in the same way as if I didn't have an IVA?

Thanks.

Hi there and welcome to the forum

This debt ought to be bound under the terms of your IVA, but send the details to your IP and have them liaise with the creditor directly.

If the debt was added to the IVA as a debt to Lloyds and they have now sold it, the collection company are still bound by the terms of the IVA so you shouldnt have to pay any more.
