I have had a demand from o2 debt agency to collect £1000 for outstanding line rental and missed payments when i explained im in IVA the debt company said they will not get involved and returned my file back to o2. is this unusual? they were not included in my creditors because at the time i was up todate with the bill.

I think you need to speak to your IP about this Mark. The debt was accumulated post IVA so O2 won't be bound by the IVA.

Thats a big bill racked up in the time it took to sort out an IVA.The debt company will return the file to O2 but will no doubt start chasing again when O2 discover that they arent involved in the IVA!!!

It is not really your IP's place to negotiate on a post-IVA debt. I think that you will have to come to some form of arrangement directly with O2 and then discuss how the ongoing repayments are likely to affect your ability to continue making IVA payments.

I would think that there would only be a problem if you cannot make the payments.

I am with O2 and have had no problems at all.

You will just have to tell them that you can't afford anymore than you are already offering them.

Hi,
I have had trouble with 02 via CarPhone Warehouse and they are really getting on my nerves.

They sent to me a while ago two free sim cards which i didn't need or want and was not even expecting so i threw them away.

The sim cards have never been used or put into a mobile phone,
Now all of a sudden i am being charged line rental per month and have written to them via recorded delivery to cancel them to no avail.

I rang them up and gave them short shrift as i ain't paying for something i have neither used or want. The guy on the phone was all apologetic but these people could affect my credit history in the future and if i had not noticed money could be racking up.

My own mobile contract is with Orange who are Brilliant!! and have been with them for 2 years and registered at one of there branches and i would never us Carphone Warehouse again.

Andrew I have deleted your new topic as it is just a duplicate of this.
