this is my first post and need some help from you experts. we are just starting the iva process and getting all the forms together. we have contacted 3 local estate agents for a valuation advising them we will be selling in new year( a little white lie), all have advised they will not supply in writing unless we contract them to sell. i have looked at the online valuation sites eg zoopla they have valued our house at £171K we thought it might be £180k so not far out would this be acceptable. any advises on how to overcome this would be appreaciated

thanks

Hi there and welcome to the forum

Ask the IP who you have chosen to represent you whether an on-line valuation will suffice.

This is allowed under the IVA protocol, but personally I prefer my clients to have a proper valuation. It is possible that the IP may be prepared to pay for this to be done - I have a company I use which does drive by valuations for as little as £30.

thanks melanie for you reply. it is actually yourself that we have chosen so will contact office in the morning for the number. we are fully prepared to pay the fee ourselves, we will however try another couple of estate agents if necessary.

thanks

No problem - we can organise this for you. I am back in the office tomorrow, so if you give me a ring (and identify yourself!!) I can chat through the options we have and get the ball rolling for you.
