Hi, I just wondered if you are in an IVA agreement, are you allowed to put money aside for a holiday or would it be frowned upon by the IP?

Hi
If you can save money from your expenditure allowance or from your share of overtime/commission then you are free to spend it as you wish.
A holiday would be a a great incentive to scrimp and save

In contrast to frowing, a good IP would wish you well for a modest family holiday paid for out of savings you have managed to make or overtime or other allowances you have been able to keep.

Five years is a long time to be in an IVA without a family break, and if you have children it is important to try and maintain some sort of normality for them and enjoy some quality family time. The Sun will be doing their cheap offers over the next few weeks, and many forum posters have enjoyed fabulous breaks away for a very minimal sum.

I agree - if you can manage to save out of a tight budget based on CCCS guidelines - well done - have a great holiday!
