Hi there.... basically my husband is filing for bankruptcy this month, we are having to move into rented accommodation which will cost about £1000 per month including bills my income is around £1200 per month and im self employed and now my husband is unemployed i also have debt of about £14000 and my monthly expenses including my half of the rent and bills and other small payments like car insurance and fuel etc.. is about £660 and my debt payed out is about £550 this includes 2 personal loans and min payments on 4 credit cards and 2 store cards and car finance....as my husband is unemployed its going to be a case of me having to pay his half of the rent and bills and surpport him too, so my monthly outgoings are going to increase by alot and im now worried that i will no longer be able to pay my loans and credit cards im very stressed at the moment about what is the best thing to do?

Hi and welcome,
You are not having a very good time of it at the moment are you sweetthing?
I recommend that you speak to an Insolvency Practitioner as soon as possible. You may be able to do an IVA, or a DMP or you may be better off going bankrupt yourself and both of you start again with a clean sheet.
Visit
www.iva.com for a list of reputable companies. Speak to one or two of them and they will tell you all the options available to you and recommend the best way forward for you.

I echo all the above posts. sorry to hear of your current predicament. Speak to an IP soon their advice is free and you will get the most appropriate advice for you and your hubby's circumstances. Let us know how you get on.
