Try not to worry FD, from what I know of Mercers they often threaten this but it's unlikely to happen.

I know that it's not much consolation, but there isn't anything they can do now that you have your IVA xxx

Mercers did my head in, so i found the best way to stop the calls and collections was to offer £1 per month (they would want 1% of your balance plus £2 as a minimum) until the IVA is (with luck) accepted. It seemed to work. Maybe try calling them saying you have been evicted if you rent so there is no house to visit? Ask them also what the point in sending collections agents round are when you can't pay anyway - get the person on the phone to explain it clearly - if you get a stupid agent, they can't......

FD - I could have papered the walls with the amount of letters I had from Mercers threatening debt collectors! No one ever turned up - it costs them money to send them round and they are already wasting enough money on postage!

In the unlikely event that anyone did turn up - you don't have to answer the door or speak to them. If you did, I would have a copy of my chairmans report in my hand and show it to them. They will take details and then go away.

Speak to Melanie on Monday and I am sure she will sort this for you.

Go to your boyfriends, enjoy your day and forget about them.

Don't worry - we would all like to say something unprintable about them!

Hi Fergie

Dont worry its probably just computer generated and they have no intention of calling. Like Kallis has said I had post cards and letters threatening to call on me but noone ever came. Youre protected with your IVA and if someone did call you would just shove the IVA paper under there noses, or some other orrifice thats sufficent enough to send them packing. You could phone them up, tell them they are causing you stress record the call and threaten a complaint.

Now go to your boyfriends, dont let them take another second of your life hun.

More fool them IF they did send anyone round.
It will cost them money just to be made to look stupid.
Don't worry it won't happen.

Enjoy your weekend and forget about it xxxx

I had loads of letters from mercers. But they never rang the house phone. I did get a couple of calls from my creditors but once I informed them that I was in an IVA the calls stopped immediately.

They won't send anyone round

Have a good weekend.

I think the IP does it. You don't have to do anything now.
