Just enquiring about an IVA, [:(]Has anyone had any dealings with the Royal Bank Of Scotland and Barclaycard are they likely to accept an IVA or are they difficult to work with.

evening AOWE
and welcome.
melanie will know more than me. from info i have gathered i think rbs are quite supportive of ivas-they accepted me.
not sure on barclays
the only problem with them is their in house debt team mercers who are quite unpleasant.
have you been in touch with anyone yet if not have a look on
www.iva.com for ip and reviews or one of the many experts on here who are excellent

Hi AOWE,
Both RBS (owed approx £7000) and Barclaycard (owed approx £1000) are creditors of mine. Been in an IVA over 2 years now and from what i remember they both voted yes. Fortunately for me I got my IVA on the go right at an early stage, worse case scenario was my creditors were only one payment late by about 3-4 weeks when my IVA was approved so no CCJs or debt collectors. I managed to get my IVA done from flash to bang within 5 weeks! think I had one call from both but from what I can remember they were fine once i explained my situation...but that was over 2 years ago now.
MBNA were the worst callers by far for me...you will see them mentioned alot on here.
Anyway good luck
x

All creditors today are supportive of all IVA's put forward in a proper manner. If the appropriate advice is for an IVA then that can be put forward. Creditors do not favour one provider over another UNLESS they have reasonable doubt about that practitioners working practices and advice given. Go for it!

RBS voted yes for ours, and Barclaycard didn't bother to vote.
