I have just read my replies on my post and found it's now locked due to it getting a little heated!! I am sure the advice given on this forum and by the IP 's are very good and am still a little unsure on these things have spoke to DH and definatley decided that bankrupcy is a no go until I get a job and things improve will contact cccs tomorrow and try a DMP surely something is better than nothing? This is something I never thought would happen to me I used to have a good job but after 3 children it was dearer to go to work and I am embarressed as I kept on spending like I still had a good wage and I know this is my own doing sorry for going on but it's nice to talk to people in our situation all our friends do well and DH parents have helped us out a bit and I could never tell them how it is now as they think that were ok with them helping us out.

Don't worry you are not the only one to have a topic locked - I had one done last week for exactly the same reason - forum experts getting heated on their responses and giving very different opinions.
On the whole this does not happen on the forum so when it does it is best it is locked !

Hi Lisa, sorry the topic was locked - as Luluj says it doesn't happen often, but when things get too heated it's better to draw a line under it.
Please don't feel embarassed, most of us are here for the same reason. I went BR 2 years ago and that was down to my overspending. Once you have spoken to the CCCS I'm sure you'll feel better, and I hope you'll carry on posting as we can all support you x

Thanks skippy I did'nt overspend in the sense of flash cars and holidays as we havent had one last year and probably wont for the next few!! I just carried on as if I was still earning a good wage and if I would have budgeted better probably would'nt have been in such a bad situation as that is when I was able to use and pay my cc ect when I stopped working due to having the children DH was doin overtime now thats dried up just hope creditors except payments will look for an evening job any advice gratefully accepted. x

Entering into a DMP is a great way to demonstrate to creditors that you are serious about addressing your debts as soon as you find a job, and well done to you and hubby for wanting to see the creditors repaid.
Good luck with the job hunting.

If I find a job would we be excepted for an IVA as we would have more to give than £175??

I could well be a possibility for you with a little extra money coming in, but don't forget to budget for work travelling, lunches at work and any other work related expenditure as well as the extra money you will be earning.

It would have to be an evening job as childcare is too expensive DH might have the occasional overtime aswell so fingers crossed!
