hiya,
i entered into an iva last year with clear start and will be due my annual review in 2 months.
i share a flat with my friend and all the utility/council tax bills are in his name, i give him my contribution towards everything once a month.
i also have a bigger room so pay more rent and pay more council tax because of this but i have no way of proving of this as the bills come in his name.
im worried that when they ask for proof of increases in bills etc, i wont have anything in my name.
many thanks
mr r e targett

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Do you not have any receipts from your friend which shows how much money you are paying?

Would Ip's accept written receipts from your friend I wonder??

Unless it is paid by DD or SO, I can't see that there is any other way of proving it.

How did you manage when you did your initial I&E? How did you prove what you paid then?

Get yourself a rent book, and record the amount you are paying and the details of the bills. And get your flatmate to sign this as receipt if your IP really does need something to examine.

hiya,
I suppose the best and only option i have is to provide the ip's with a signed receipt for the amount I give my flat mate each month for rent/council tax, utilities. and as for the original i/e's, I was never asked to provide proof of bills, rent etc, just filled out the form with what I do pay each month.
I think i may be worrying too much over this because at the end of the day there is nothing else i can really do. thanks all. r.t

You right - there is nothing to worry about. Try and keep future receipts or a letter confirming receipt of the Rent etc.
