I am absolutely fuming as my daughter works in the court where my proposal was filed and the woman who filed it actually rang other people in the office that evening to tell them what i had done and how much i owed etc etc. Luckily i had mentioned the IVA to my daughter but she is very embarrassed. She saw her line manager who has offered to keep my file in her office so that no one can come in the mornings etc and look at it. All the staff have to sign the official secrets act and i think now i will approach the courts and ask for a complaints form. Do you think i should take this matter further or leave it for my daughters sake ?

MY IP was aware that my daughter worked there but unfortunately he said it could not be addressed to anyone in particular

Not really an IVA question but just wondered what you think.

Thank you.

How utterly disgraceful Devon! I would most certainly make a complaint as she should not be doing this at all.

Hi there - that is terrible & I would really want to complain too.
It will most definetly breach the privacy policy & personally I would complain.
I really do not think it will effect your daughters employment. & I think this is appalling of the woman whom has done this & she should be dealt with accordingly. I bet most people in the office find her behaviour to be appalling too.
Wonder if she gossips about others outside the office - whom are trying to sort their debt problems out.

This woman should be disciplined for this. Court staff are supposed to operated with the utmost discretion, but at the end of the day I am sure that you do not want to make your daughter's life more difficult at work.

Personally I would let this blow over. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed about - you are actually repaying the debts, albeit under an arrangement.
