Hi. I am about £24000 in debt and owe to about 6 creditors + an overdraft. I have just got back from a working holiday in Australia and am in the process of looking for a permanent job. At the mo I have a temporary admin job which is on-going. Is it possible to apply for a iva now or do I have to have permanent position. If so do I need to be in it for a certain amount of time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello and welcome.
An IVA isn't really possible on a contributions basis under the circumstances you describe, but a DMP, on a temporary basis, with the view to looking at a possible IVA a little later on, may be a sensible way forward for you. Most providers would pefer if you had been in full time employment for at least 3 months before they would look at an IVA proposal. If you are struggling, a DMP is an excellent way to fire-fight in the meantime, so to speak.
Regards.

If you visit
www.iva.com you will find a list of companies and reviews, a lot of whom will do you a temporary DMP.
Give one or two a ring.
