I am just going through my proposal and checking over the I & E list before I send it back, can you ask for some allowance for entertainment i.e. going to the cinema etc?

I think you can have a social allowance but not sure how much you can claim.
One of the professionals will be on later with a bit more information.

Under current CCCS guidelines, the allowance for Sports, Hobbies and Entertainment is £16 per month for a single person, £21 per month for a married couple, and £11 per month for each child.

Thanks Melanie, will they be able to add this to the list or will it have to be drawn up again for us to sign, I am conscious of timescales in doing this and I really want to get underway.

I'm afraid my entertainment these days is the internet and Sky!

You're lucky, you've got Sky.

I would have thought they ought to have already made an allowance for this - haven't you had any discussions with the IP yet as to affordability, or to run through the figures and the proposal itself with you?

No, the proposal only came on Saturday (yesterday), there isn't anything included for entertainment, I will ring them up on Monday before sending it back.

Where did they get the information from to be able to put a proposal together for you? Have you actually spoken to anyone at this firm before?

Melanie- in case you are looking in (I've posted elsewhere but you may not see it) I gave the SVP the print out and they were really pleased about your comment re gesture. By the way - they liked the photograph - the SVP member I gave it to thought that a woman in your profession would have far more understanding than a man!

Yes, I've spoken to them a few times, it's just that nothing has been allowed/put down for entertainment, that's why I was asking before I send the papers back, asI have said on another post I think there are 1 or 2 items on the list that need adjusting slightly.

Make sure that you put down everything you spend, otherwise you may find that you struggle.
If you put it down, the IP can only ask you to reduce the figures or take it out. If you don't put it down then you will struggle.
