I have just started my IVA, frist payment April 30. I have just been informed that I will be getting back pay from 2004 to present which will total around £5000. Will I have to declare all this back money to my IP as my husband who is self employed and also in the IVA has been signed off sick for 8 weeks with a knee injury and he is only entitled to £60.50 per week Sick Pay. Will the IP take all this into account as the back money will offset the money not coming in from my husband. I am at a loss what to do as we have only just started the IVA.

I would contact your IP and take there advice.
It all depends on the wording in your proposal so you may have to hand all of it over or at least 50%

Hi there and welcome to the forum
You will need to declare this money, but your IP is likely to allow you to offset some of it to supplement your husband's lack of earnings.
Speak to them directly to get advice as to what to do.
