we are in financal trouble and in the process of appling for a iva with goodbye2 debt , does anyone know this firm. we run a pub which is slowly dieing and the only income we have at the moment is two rental property and tax cedit, we have one son who lives at home and one daughter at collage.we cannot find any fees for iva obviously there must be one,where would we find the funds cheers for now

The firm you are using has actually just been acquired by another firm Tenon who have had mixed reviews on here.

I'm not too sure what you mean about finding fees. If you mean the IP's fees, these come out of your monthly payments, you won't have to pay any extra.

I would give one or two other companies a ring as well, rather than settling on the first one you go to.

Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews and give one or two a ring. The advice you get will be free and impartial and you will be told about all the solutions available to you and the best way forward for your circumstances.

Make sure that you are comfortable with the company you choose - 5 years is a long time to be stuck with someone you are not happy with.

Where did you come across details of this firm as a matter of interest? It does pay to shop around and speak to a couple of companies, just to compare the levels of advice and client service afforded.

pgray - you need specialist advice from firms that do self employed persons inn the pub trade. My firm has done a few over the years but the list is growing. However I suggest you speak to another IP and discuss your particular circumstances with him/her. Visit www.iva.com for reviews on other practitioners. Then you will get the appropriate advice.

ok had the meeting this morning mon 27th the person we saw was kenneth reed,does claire mccaffery work for goodbye2debt or vincent bond because the letter i had is from tenon i had a email saying that vincent bond was taking over from a email name of julia simavi they have all paper work now.hope im not doing the wrong thing

Tenon acquired Goodbye2Debt in February 2008 according to Google. I don't know what the link would be with Vincent Bond though.
