Hi
IVA accepted on Monday (yay!) and since then we have been inundated with default notices right, left and centre.
Got a letter today as well from our old current account holder (who are also our mortgage provider) saying that they felt there was an irreconcilable breakdown of relationship betwen us and them and giving us 30 days notice to change our account. Not a problem as we'd changed our bank in the run up to the iva BUT will this in anyway affect our mortgage with them? I suspect they're probably entirely separate but just wanted to check that they're not likely to pull our mortgage or stop it or anything like that?

Thanks in advance

I bet if all feels different now you know that you are in the IVA though!!!

This will absolutely not affect your mortgage, so worry no longer.

Thanks for that Melanie,
I suspected (hoped!!) that was the case but just wanted to make sure!
Yes it feels very different now, but we haven't had any calls at all (yet) so haven't been able to say well, actually, our iva has been approved etc....!

The relief of not worrying when the phone goes is beyond belief and, to everyone else going through an iva application worrying about whether it will be accepted etc, just hang on in there, as far as I can make out, as long as you're with a respectable company, and are offering the best you can, then the likliehood is that the outcome will be successful. Put your trust in your ip and he/she will get you through it.

Anyone reading my previous posts will be in no doubt about the difference it makes once you've got that meeting out of the way, I never would have believed the difference myself!

Congratulations Pap,I think we tarted this prosses around the same time, I don't even have a date for a creditors meeting yet. That will teach me to go through a third party. I would not reccommend it to anyone else, everyone should go direct to a comany with an IP.
