Hi again everyone, I really need some advice if there's anyone out there who can help.
We're almost 3yrs into our IVA, all payments have always been made on time, as have our overtime payments etc.
Last night, my husband broke his hand and his company doesn't pay him if he's on the sick from work. He's a manual worker, working in the haulage industry. I'm really panicking. We currently pay £523/month to our IVA payment and £430 to our secured loan. He's going to beg his boss to let him continue to work anywhere within the company so we have money coming in. However, I've suggested today that, if he can't work, we should possibly request a payment break for 1 or 2months.
Our secured loan has payment protection so I'm hoping that it too will be paid if necessary.
Do both of these scenarios seem feasible at all???
I work part-time and bring home approx £1200month - our monthly bills come to £1750. So if the IVA and loan payments were covered, we'd struggle but would survive.
I'm sorry for rambling, I'm just panicking and don't know what to do.
Thanks in anticipation (as always!)
xx
