Can i have a mobile phone contract in an IVA?

If you already have a contract then yes you can keep it usually. You would struggle to apply for one during an IVA if you didnt already have one.

Yes in principle no problem, although I know the companies do a credit check. So not sure what they would say. If you can set one up before the IVA. If you are already in a contract and have not defaulted, I imagine the company may not be too concerned. Alternatively, get your wife to get it for you.

I have a contract with O2, and because I have every intention of staying with them, all they do when I phone up to renew, is check that I have been paying ok.

That way, you can keep the contract and get the latest phones if you wish!

I've still got my phone contract. Not going to risk changing it though. So yes you can have a mobile contract.

I kept my contract with Vodafone when I was in my IVA and also when I was with BR.

As long as you stick with the same firm, you should be ok - it's only if you want to change that you may have problems.
