Sorry not a question; more an update. Just to let anyone interested know that I had a call from Jenna (I guess you could call her my case worker) today to say that acuma is now officially Grant Thornton. They are moving shortly but only a little bit up the road and telephone numbers remain the same for the time being. The system is being changed so expect a delay of about a week in communication but other than that, hings remain the same including the same staff. Hope this sets some peoples mind at rest, it certainly made me more comfortable hearing a familiar voice on the telephone.

Hi
A good post.
Grant Thornton are a very reputable company and should handle the change over without too many problems.
Regards

Sorry, a couple of sounds missing there. Oooops, I mean letters, I work with young children.
Andy, Grant Thornton certainly seem to have a great reputation. I'm hoping that I won't have to find out as my f&f is currently being drafted hence todays phone call.

Thank you, i've not had any letter about this. Not even when I spoke to my case worker last week. Will everything stay the same? Will same things be needed for reviews etc.

Perhaps your letter is in the post kelse?

I'm sure everything will remain the same, but if anyone is looking in who is with Grant Thornton, can they post what is required for the annual review?

That should put Accuma clients minds at rest.

Correct me if I am wrong but I beleive Grant Thorton are also very good auditors and if I have my facts right then they should be a very good IP firm.

I think it can only be an improvement! Grant Thornton have a good reputation, so anyone with Accuma will be in good hands.

Kelse, everything is going to remain exactly he same so don't panic. Letters are going to be sent as soon as they move apparently, until then it's simply just a name change. You will still have the same ip (mine's Andrew Wilkinson)so the same things should be needed for review.

Thank you. I think we've got the same IP

I am pretty sure that you won't have the same IP. My understanding is that all cases are being transferred to Grant Thornton personnel in due course.

You're very welcome. As I said, him and Jenna, (the lady that you get if you ring him) are definitely staying. As Skippy says, GT have a fantastic reputation so it really is no bad thing.

I meant I think we have the same IP as each other. I definately have read the name somewhere.

Melanie, if its all being transferred to GT personnel, is anything likely to change? Do they operate differently to Accuma?

I cannot really say if they operate any differently to Accuma, as I do not know how the latter firm do operate, however I can assure you that you are being transferred to one of the best firms in the profession and will be well looked after in the future.

Hi All
I also got a call from Jenna at Grant Thornton. She told me that we would be getting a new IP and everything is just going through now. She responded to an email that I sent my IP at Accuma querying why our annual review hadn't been completed (sent paperwork in over 6 weeks ago!).
Seemed very nice and was extremely helpful which can only be a good sign?!
