Would an IVA allow study for a professional qualification to a persons expenditure. When I entered my IVA I went through a Company that chose my IP and they did not allow for this but I still have to pay for study from my food allowance.

Possibly - if creditors were asked to agree to this expenditure. Was this mentioned to your IP at the time, and did they refuse to put the expenditure forward for you? Which firm are you with?

I have an allownace for my education costs and are currently studying a BSc in building Surveying. I would contact your IP and explain the situation.

Hi
if you are in an IVA now Hara you will not be able to change companies. It is upto the creditors to agree or not agree the costs of a professional qualification and they may agree to it if the persons income and hence IVA payments were to increase during the IVA. Otherwise it will have to be funded from savings on expenditure allowances or put on hold until after the IVA
