Unfortunately Barclays are one of the worst culprits for phone calls.

I hope you get sorted soon.

Mikepapa, just remember to tell them on the phone that you are working with an insolvency practitioner to make an arangement regarding your debts. They may just leave you alone for a day or 2.

Hi Mikepapa, Barclays have a bad reputation for harrasing phone calls and I would advise that you fail security checks (give the wrong date of birth for example). If you have internet banking then now be the time to put false phone numbers in your contact and this might stop any phone calls particularly to the work place.

Whilst waiting for our meeting, we just put the phone to answer phone. They phoned my hubby at work once and I phoned them to say that if we lost our jobs through their harassment then we would have to go bankrupt and they would get NO money. As you said, Egg were very good to us. Barclaycard not a real problem but MBNA were the worst! Lloyds never contacted us once by telephone and neither did northern rock, just by post. The time will pass and it is very stressfull but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I logged on to the internet site and changed my numbers as well but not sure if the old ones would still be registered? [:)]

I found barclaycard and Blackhorse to be the worst. I refused to provide telephone numbers and said please contact by post only. Early on i made small token payments of £5 to MINT and HFC and they agreed to freeze the account for 28days whilst my IVA was worked through. I unplugged the landline.

Barclays have to be one of the worst serial offenders with phone calls.

I never answered them until my IVA was approved.
