Im 18 months in my iva and have within the last 2 months recieved :-

3 letters from northern rock
4 letters from welcome finance

I have spoken to them both and told them that they should be aware that im in an iva and have agreed to stop correspondance with me.

However they say due to a new law they can send me statements telling me that im in arrears and how much i owe.

IS THIS TRUE ??????

Yes it is.

They are obliged to send a statement at least once a year. You can ignore it.

Strange I recieved a statement from blackhorse today.

Also got a strange letter of the Natwest. Which bascially told me I was arrears but that they were aware of my "payment plan", but they would still be telling me every six months how much I was in arrears by??

Obviously the same sort of thing.

Nothing to worry about.

Interesting, I won't worry when and if they start coming.
Mr AR still gets a monthly text from Egg with his balance, kinda funny really.

They can only claim the balance as at the start of the IVA - nothing else.

I get regular letters from MBNA. I just collect them and send to my IP.
