LadyH is right. The most important part of the IVA is that it is affordable and sustainable. The CCCS guidelines cannot be used as gospel as everyone has differing expenses.

Do not agree to payments that are not sustainable as the IVA will fail and you will be back to square one and have lost all money paid to date. Your IP firm will go through the expenditure with you to determine what is allowable and crucially affordable.

You could alternatively contact an insolvency practitioner who would be able to discuss the creditor guideline figures with you in comparison to what you actually spend.

Totally agree with everyone.

Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Give one or two a ring and you will receive free and impartial advice as to all the options open to you and the best way forward for your circumstances.

You will also be guided by your chosen IP as to your expenditure.
