I dont know if anyone can advise me.

I had my FFS agreed on the 16th June, and received a letter dated 27th July from Abbey stating that they have sold my debt onto another company "Capquest Debt Recovery Limited", how can they sell the debt on, when it has been included in my full and final settlement.

I hope all the creditors don't start sending these letters, its really concerning.

I have emailed Blair Endersby, but am really worried and wondered if anyone can advise.

thanks

Hi Gill
Dont worry, what this means is that when the full and final payments are distributed, Capquest will receive Abbeys share. Some creditors sell on their debt during an IVA but it will make absolutely no difference to you as long as you maintain your payments.

Thanks

I've had people asking me to pay though I have told them im in an iva, so keep getting letters saying if i dont pay they will take me to court. So annoying just receiving these letters even though they know you're in an iva.

Best thing to do is to pass them on to your supervisor. They can then issue them with a copy of the Chairman’s Report which proves your in an IVA.

I agree with Declan, I have just had some from Robinson Way who purchased the HSBC debt and they wanted to negotiate lower payments from us!

We have sent the letters to Payplan for them to deal with.

Don't worry Gill - the debt is covered and you should have no problems.
