If I work overtime I know I have to pay 50% to my IP. I had not worked any overtime since my IVA started but have been offered some extra shifts. I am more than happy to pay the 50%, however, what about the mileage allowance? Does my IP get 50% of this as well? When I work an overtime shift I would get paid a mileage allowance of 40p per mile (round journey 80 miles). As I have already paid out for the petrol and wear and tear on my car I wasn't sure whether my IP would want 50% of this as well. Would anyone be able to advise?
All comments welcome.

Hi Mrs T
I too get a mileage allowance for work but this is not included in your IVA as you have already paid this out.
Hope this helps.

If you have already paid this money out, you will not be expected to pay this across, barb is correct.

mileage allowance is classed as an expense, not income,so you should not have to pay any of this back

I sometimes have to travel for work and claim the mileage expenses back and I've never had to pay anything across.
