I have a pension which I believe (if it were possible to release it) may provide enough funds to reach a settlement with my creditors.
I imagine the answer is no but I thought I'd float the question here anyway... Is there any way a pension fund can be used to settle debts?
Thanks

Pension are exmpy in bankruptcy but if you voluntarily offered to draw some down to fund a one off IVA it may be accepted. We recently did an IVA doing exactly that and it was accepted. You should seek advice before drawing any funds down as it will adversely affect your pension in retirement.

I have also done such cases, but do be careful that you do not use well invested funds which will provide you with an income into retirement just as a quick fix. You will need that money when you are older, with dwindling state pensions to contend with.
