My husband and I are in an IVA (since July 09). He is constantly being harassed by Sky Card. At first they said (on their numerous calls a day) that they knew nothing about the IVA. Their Head Office is Grant Thornton and all correspondence must have gone through them, eventually this was sorted and they are now ringing to say that they know all about the IVA but are still entitled to speak with him. Yesterday he told them he would no longer speak with them and hung up. Do you know if this is allowed - we are both getting very tired and upset over these calls.

Refer them to your IP and let them deal with it. This is what they are getting paid for after all!

				Hi Amanda
Speak to your IP, but also get contact details for the complaints department and email/write them a letter and have them respond formally.
They are not entitled to chase for the debt as it is included in the IVA. They may still want your custom. Are they chasing for payments or trying to get you to sign up for a package?

We have done Melanie, several times. But all they say is because of data protection they can't speak to anyone else but my husband.

That is absolute rubbish - and they know it! Tell them you will report them to the Financial Ombudsman next time they call.

They are chasing for payments, its nothing to do with Sky TV, was a Sky credit card. I will write a letter of complaint and see if that helps.
Thanks for your replies.

				So frustrating!
I am assuming that SKY are just tardy updating their records - it's pointless them ringing you to chase money so they're incurring costs attempting to contact you and tying up call-centre staff time in doing so.
If it helps, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

				What a pain!
The calls will stop eventually. I'm afraid if it was me that I would not be being very polite by now!
Your hubby can refuse to give his security details, and that means they cannot continue with the calls.

Frustrating for you you and I hope it's sorted as soon as and the calls cease. I would refer them to your IP with full name and address and ask them if they're noting it.
