Can anyone advise where we might get insurance to protect us during a DMP incase of redundany, sickness etc? I know Payplan offered it, but I dont think we will be going with them now.

Try John Tegg who posts as Coveritall on here. You will find his details under the experts link.
He does that sort of insurance.

Sorry I don't know the best company but it's really expensive wherever you go unless you have a long deferment period. I used to work for AXA and back then the 4 week period as compared to the 52 week period were miles apart in terms of premiums. Things may have changed since I worked in the industry though.
Permanent health insurance and redundancy insurance are 2 seperate entities and 2 seperate insurances.

I would definately recommend John Tegg's company if you feel that this sort of insurance is essential.
