Hubby taken day off work today - think his body needs a rest after the stress of the last few days - I'm working still, but think he could do with the space.

I even got a smile at lunchtime when I came home - and a proper kiss! I asked of he was feeling even a tiny bit better and he said yes - hope he is...

So - tonight will be another "awkward" evening, but hopefully go some way to showing him the way forward.

I am sure it will be fine, but just wanted to update everyone who has supported me since Thursday last week - I'm grateful for your help.

And to anyone reading this....as awful as it may be (and it is) please tell your other halfs if you are in a mess and scared to tell them - had I done it a year ago, we probably could have got to grips with it between us somehow.

And as everyone promised, it HAS got better, albeit slowly and I can't blame him for that.

Thank you x

I'm so glad that things are improving, and they will continue to. Your husband obviously loves you and is probably more hurt that you didn't tell him before, than about the actual debt.

Good luck tonight my love x

Hey - you have moved mountains since your post of last week - and I have looked at your case and it is fine to process as an IVA. He is getting round to the idea now - and as you already know he really does love you and will want to support you.

What an improvement since the weekend. My whole family were hooked to your saga on Saturday. Would he or wouldn't come home from the pub?![:)]Our hearts really went out to you.
I kept a lot hidden from my hubby for a long time. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. So many of us have been there.
He was understanding and took responsibility for a lot of our problems.
It sounds like your hubby is coming round. It's really been only a couple of days and he is ready to have a conversation around it.
Hope tonight goes well for you and he supports you through this.
Have you showed him your threads on the forum yet?

Sorry - couldn't say more before as was at work - Melanie thanks for looking at it so quickly. Can I use your name now when I tell the creditors what's happening?

I had to laugh Carrie - I was just imagining your family periodically saying around the dinner table "do you reckon he's back yet??!"

He seems a lot more chatty - even since this morning, so we'll see how we get on later once he armed with a bit more info!

Thanks everyone - good job I didn't rely on moneysaving expert's forum - I'd have shot myself!

Gosh my hubby is a legend I tell you. I gave him the heads up tonight and he is still very alarmed (hmm understatement) but he "gets it" now and is totally up for the challenge.

I'm so lucky and he realises what's happened - he's cooking dinner now.

We've agreed that on the 1st of every month we sit down and sort all those pennies and pounds out together.

I can't thank all of you enough who got me through the weekend, when I thought it was all over - I was reading my posts back and I do apologise for being so hysterical!!!

Still, if you bored of the X Factor, just log on and read about my weekend from hell!!!

Tina thank you for keeping me sane on the telephone and Melanie - you too are a legend from what I hear - I am sure I will talk and meet you soon

I might have to change my username as I don't feel soashamed as I did

Thanks everyone

Tomorrow I will have time to reply to all your posts - I can't advise as I am a newbie and don't have clue what's going on, but I'll always be there for others if they need some kind words
