been in iva for 4 years now was extended for 1 year recently me and my husband split up and need to put house on the market as i cant afford on my earnings i know i have to ask permission to sell, can they refuse this or not

Hi Andrea. Your IP cannot stop the sale because to try and do so will almost certainly result in repossession. They will be aware of the sale as they would have a restriction and may need to clarify with creditors what to do with the money.
Speak to your IP and possibly try and have the IVA closed down with whatever equity is released. It should be possible to retain enough to relocate but your own IP will have the full details of your case.
