The Co-op are excellent. I'll be staying with them even if in the future I can get an account elsewhere.

Funny that you should all be talking about the Co Op but i have been shopping around for cheaper car insurance and found that the co op is half the price of Admiral on fully comprehensive cover and i am using the Cashminder Account with Visa Debit Card as well.I don't think you can beat the Co Op when it comes to customer service, no indian call centres and loads better than HSBC where i got into a right old mess

That is great news to share Andrew. I will bear that in mind when I am due to renew my own!

I've got my car insurance with the Co-op - it was £140 cheaper than my renewal from Churchill. I aslo went through Quidco and got £75 cashback!

Kazzer,
I would 2nd that. We have just opened a Co-Op account over the phone, and their service is superb so far. The chap on the other end of the phone was a scouser and we even had a bit of banter[:D]
I believe they are based in Skelmersdale, but being a true Mancunian I can live with that.

Yep, the Cashminder account has been a Godsend, although mine took a month or so to open even though I provided them with everything they asked for by taking it into the branch!
Since it's been opened though, no hassles whatsover, I can use Post Offices,Link machines, and do everything else online.
Has anyone had one of those scanner things for supplementary secuirty yet?
They wrote to me last year telling me about it, but I've had nothing from then since.

I have one, I think it's called a reader. Once you have one then you cannot do anything online, such as transfers, setting up s/o's and d/d's until you have the security code from the reader.
It is a little time consuming in all honesty, but if it improves security and lessens the risk of fraud then I am all for it.
Regards.
