Just wondering we entered our iva with 12 creditors but my
report is showing only 6 have put a claim in what happens
with the other creditors and what about the money as at the
moment I am paying nearly double the proposed amount and the 6
that have put their claim in would have been paid in full plus
some fees by the end of this year which would only be the 2nd.
Would the IP continue to chase these creditors and if they still
do not put in their claim after 72 months would I still be liable
to pay these?
Thanks
I have so many questions I wish I had joined earlier [:)]

Hi Penny,

I don't know how long creditors have to put a claim in, but if you get to the end and they haven't bothered, then I don't think you have a problem.

Hopefully one of the experts can advise.

It is unusual for creditors not to claim and your IP will chase up these creditors before paying out any dividend. If these creditors still do not claim your IP can exclude them from the IVA and they are also barred from pursuing you. Again this is highly unlikely and the most like;ly outcome is that they will claim and your IVA will run it's course as normal.

If what you are reading is the Chairman's Report this will only list those creditors who voted at the meeting but ask your IP if you are in doubt.
