Hi All,

I have finally sent all the paperwork to my IP firm, If for whatever reason the IVA was not accepted. How bad is BR??

I've read all sorts of booklets, and looked at all sorts of information, but it would be nice to hear from someone who's actually been through it. I s it true that the OR comes to your house and looks through all your belongings to see what they could sell to raise some capitol??, If so what do i tell the kids when their tv and computers go!!.

I have a Car which is in my name but my wife uses for work and school runs, do they take that even though it's only worth couple of thousand a best?. I also own a van which i bought when i was self employed, it's still registered to the company but i use the van for my now day job and fear they will take that, meaning i would without doubt lose my job!!

Can anyone help???

I am sure that you have absolutely nothing to worry about, as your IP would not have agreed to take your case on unless he/she was comfortable about the viability of your case.

But do look to them for assurance in the meantime, and ask as many questions as you need to. Bankruptcy is not a process to fear these days, home visits are a thing of the past, and often the only part of the process you will have to be involved in is a short telephone conversation with the examiner dealing with the case.

Hi, I think we all have those pre-IVA jitters when the paperwork has gone to your chosen IP, I remember it well. A good IP as Melanie says would not take on your case if they weren't confident of acceptance as a lot of work goes into getting your proposal prepared from both yourself and your IP and his/her staff.

I do agree that we all feel the same and worry about acceptance.

I'm sure you will be fine - we don't see many rejections on here.

BR is not as bad as you think and I do agree with Lesley that you should read Skippy's blog.
