my husband and i are in debt of approx £28,500, my brother has offered us £10,000, would that be enough to offer the 6 companies a F&F settlements, would be grateful for any advice

The figure sounds fine, you will need to convince your creditors that it is the best deal avaialble to them. Do you have any disposable income at the moment and any property assets ?
