I have completed my IVA early with a succesful full and final settlement. I have received my certificate of compliance and my final statement. How long until my name is removed from the insolvency register and what is the best way to now repair my credit record. Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

Hi James,
Well done on completing your IVA via F & F, I have just done the same.
Your name should be removed from the register within 2-3 weeks but remember your credit history is shot for 6 years from the start of the IVA. The best thing to do it to send a copy of your completion certificate off to the 3 credit reference agencies which are Experian, Equifax and Callcredit and it may be worth checking your credit history to make sure creditors have not carried on defaulting you after the IVA was agreed. If they have write to them with the completion certificate asking them to correct there records.
Best of luck for your debt free future [:)]

Hi James
Some good advice/info from rayb there.
It may be worth signing up to one of the online credit reports, this way you can check you file regularly to ensure all entries have been up dated accordingly by your creditors. Once signed up it will also be able to advise you on how to rebuild your individual credit score. vThis will probable cost you around £10.00 per month.
Take care

You can send off for a one off copy of your record, which should cost you a couple of pounds for each agency.
You will need a debit or prepaid card of some sort to sign up to the
CRA's.
If you have been defaulted, then just write to your creditors to get them to remove anything after the date of your IVA.
Just check every so often to make sure they have been removed.
