barclayloan wrote me a letter which was recieved today saying if we carried on with the iva then they want a full amount owing to them by the 11.4.10 really worried as i want to stay with the iva but cant afford to pay them to

Are you already in an IVA? If so Barclayloan will be included. If you are in the process of applying for an IVA just forward the letter the your IP.

I think these letters are pretty standard to be honest as I had a couple like that.

yeah i seem to recall getting a couple of letters inferring that I must pay the amount in full immediately - quite scary when you are so stressed out too - these only turned up once they knew we were applying for IVA so guess it was a last ditch attempt to get money we didn't have out of us ... once in the IVA they soon stopped :o)

I remember you posting saying that some of your debts hadn't been included. Was the Barclaycardloan one of them?

If so, you need to speak to your IP about this as this could make your IVA fail and I would think that Barclays are quite within their rights to come after you for the money.

If they are included, you can ignore the threats in the letter and just forward it on to your IP to deal with.
