I am currently in an IVA as is my husband. Our marriage has broken down and we''ve now separated and he has moved out of the home. I can afford to keep the mortgage on by myself as I have started a new job on 1 April however I only wish to remain here for the short term and would like to know what options we have in relation to selling the home or removing his name from the mortgage (if the mortgage company will allow this.

Hi
You can sell and move so it would probably be better to wait until you move and to then take out a mortgage just in your name.[it won't be easy with an IVA on your record]
Have you chatted through your changes with Insolvency Practitioner ?

The equity ought to cover the costs of sale and leave a small amount for you to use to relocate into rented accomodatiom, so I cannot see your IP having a problem with the intended sale.
