co-op cashminder can be done over the phone and i didnt have any questions asked about the what why's & wherefores atall.
If they do ask - just say you're not happy with your current bank and leave it at that.
The big banks will just want to do you another current account hence all the questions i guess.

HI
Try Barclays, they gave me a business account with cheque book, debit card and internet banking and phone banking and that was 2 months after I was discharged from Bankruptcy
YOu need to go into branch tso do it and speak to a business relations manager. They also offer savings accounts for the buiness and insurance.
And a basic personal account too

I just opened my NatWest account online. If you want to go into a branch, you could just tell them you are not satisfied with the customer service at your current bank.

My natwest account isn't a business account but does come with a cheque book and debit card. I would imagine that you would still be able to open a business bank account, so long as it has no overdraft facility and the bank is not one of your creditors. You might want to consider trying to open it before you enter into an IVA, before your credit rating is totally shot.

I agree that you should open a business account now, once you are in an IVA it will be nigh on impossible to get one.

Natwest and RBS do a Basic Business Account, you need to open a personal account (Basic) with them first and they link them together, its called the Natwest Foundation Account
