Hi all,

Just a quick question that I hope you can help me with.
I have just returned to work after taking a year off (this included 3 months where I was not entitled to any maternity pay so my income was 0).
Anyhow, before I returned to work, my boss asked me to do a couple of Keeping In Touch (KIT) days which I have just recieved payment for in my first payslip. My question is, is this payment classed as overtime because if it is I will have to handover 50% to my IVA or as I was earning nothing at all, is this classed as an income and I get to keep it?

Hi
I am afraid that only your IP will be able to give you the difinitive answer to that.
My gut feeling is that you will have to hand over part of this extra income.

How were you managing to keep up with IVA payments during the time you were away from work?

Hi Mel,
Our IVA was only accepted in May and my payments until next month have been very low to make it affordable until I returned to work. Next month's payment will be my first at the set amount until the IVA is completed.
