Hello everyone,
My iva was completed in Dec 2009 after I offered a settelment figure (thanks to the advice I received on this forum). I then received the completion documents in April. But yesterday I opened my post and there was a solicitors letter from one of my creditors demanding payment of over 4k by 11th July or they will send debt collectors to my home!
I'm just about to phone them to try to sort this out, but does anyone have any advice for me?
Thank you.

Hi HelenB,
They are wasting there time as they were bound by the IVA so can do nothing. You can call them and tell them and send them a copy of your completion certificate or alternatively let them waste there money sending someone out.

Thanks rayb.
I have phoned the solicitors who claimed that the creditor had passed it to them as a FAILED iva! The cheek of it!
I have agreed to send a copy of my completion documents which I'm hoping will be the end of it.

Good luck HelenB, once you send that completion certificate that will be the end of it.
Please let us know how you get on.

Hi
How annoying
Name and shame the creditor on here if you do not get this sorted very soon.

Thanks so much for your support.
Letters have now been sent, so hopefully the stress will soon be over.

Just wanted to thank you all for your support, looks like this is now sorted, all it took was a couple of letter sent by recorded delivery. The whole thing was made a lot easier knowing I had somewhere to turn for advice.

Surely the creditor concerned has committed some sort of fraud?
Stress, anxiety, sleepless nights worrying, where there's blame there's a claim. Just a tiny bit of payback

Harrassment yes, fraud no.
You know you are covered so they can do their worst.
