Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone can put my mind at rest please! I am relocating this month. I will be renting out my property, and I have a new job although i have taken a significant pay cut and at the moment it is only part time (this will change in time though) I have filled in a new I&E form with my expected new outgoings and incomings when i move house. There will be a very small shortfall (about £10)in the anount of disposable income I have left each month, so my IVA payments should remain the same.
I first informed someone at my IVA company of my intentions to relocate back in May, as I wanted to some advice about what i should do etc. I supplied as much info as I could at that stage but didn't get very far. I'm now in contact with another member of staff at my IVA company, who is looking into this for me. I have asked for a payment break in Aug and Sept to cover the fact that I will be down on my salary and in between jobs for nearly a month, while I move house etc. I am moving to be with my partner who lives 200 miles away!
I don't know why but I am getting very nervous about all of this - how long should it take for a decision to be made about a payment break? It is only two weeks until my Aug payment is due! Are payment breaks usually granted for this kind of thing? And will the fact that I am going to be earning less, but generating rental income, be a problem, even though it means I will be able to keep up my current payments? The last thing I want to is to jeopardise my IVA so I made sure I notified my IVA company months ago about this. I haven't spoken to my IP, just two members of staff.
I would love to hear from anyone who has relocated or just any general feedback really. I just feel very anxious about the whole thing now when i should be looking forward.

Thanks Helen. I originally asked about the break back in May, which is why i am starting to panic a bit now! I have a feeling my emails and all my information wasn't passed on or dealt with at the time. Is it OK to speak to an IP direct when staff are already dealing with it all?

HI

I had to have a payment break due to a car issue which suddenly came up and I got a very quick response after I outlined the position in a letter to my IP. Keep on trying to contact them.
