I've just replied on your other post.
Not sure what you are asking for? There will be charges as you are instructing someone to help you sort out your debt problems.
Not sure what the one off payment of £300 is unless it is to send your details to an IP.
What company have you approached?

I had to pay a one off of £280 to be recomended to our IVA company. Didnt realise until I found this forum that I didnt need to do that.

I would not pay anything up front !! I had only to pay my first monthly payment when I was informed my IVA was accepted. No money was asked for and all my information would say do not pay.

Do they mean that your payments into the IVA have been assessed at £300 per month, or these are their charges for accepting you for an IVA in the first place?

Are you sure it is for an IVA and not a Debt Management Plan?
I've just had a quick look on their website and it looks like the latter to me.

Hi
Sounds very much like a debt management plan to me. Are you sure it is an IVA ?

Yes - I do know this company and they provide a good service. They don't do IVAs themselves, however, and will probably package your case and refer you to an IP firm of their own choice.

I still cant quite follow why anyone goes via an introducer?!? I strongly believe its because people dont know they are not dealing directly with an IVA firm in the 1st place.

Many customers prefer a smaller practice managing their IVA rather than a large company with a high level of staff turnover - it's a personal choice.
Smaller Insolvency Practices often don't have a sales process of their own and rely on these "introducers", who offer the initial advice and then point the client in the right direction if an IVA is the correct solution.
You will often save money by finding an Insolvency Practice directly, but unless you are sure that an IVA is right for you it is often best to seek independent advice first.

Straight back on topic, I've also worked with Valour Financial and I believe they offer a good service and a high level of professionalism.

Can I just make it clear that all advice coming from an Insolvency Practitioner is completely independent and unbiased!
