Hi,

Any advice would be gratefully received, my IVA was finalised earlier this year (Feb 10) through a combination of F&F and 5 years was up.......yet my details still appear on the insolvency register. I have twice asked for my details to be corrected but as yet with no success.

Is there anything I can do to get this information corrected ?

Thanks.

Hi, I'm sorry I don't know how to get this amended but I personally would have thought it should be by now?

Which company dealt with your IVA? x

The details should certainly be off by now. I think (and I do stand to be corrected) that your IP should let the Insolvency Service know you have successfully completed.

You could try sending a copy of your completion letter to them.

I was the IP in this case, and I can assure everyone that the Insolvency Service were duly notified of the closure of this case in our usual manner.

I am starting to see more and more of this happening - and wonder if the Insolvency Service actually have a resource issue.

I can only suggest that you lodge a formal complaint if your requests are continuing to be ignored.

It's not good is it Mel? After completion you just want to put it all behind you and start again.

Mel and her team have helped me out today by writing a formal letter - hopefully they may take notice of this - timing in my opinion is excessive and should have been dealt with sooner (insolvency registrar).

If this doesn't work I will start with a formal response quoting the Data Protection Act to see if that works :-)

Unfortunately, my employers are questioning my position as due to the registration I was put on a 6 month probationary period which is due to end and need this off the register due to the nature of the work I am now involved with.

I do hope you get it sorted soon. It's not good that you are still waiting, and particularly when it is likely to affect your employment.

Let's hope Mel's letter gets the desired result.

Here's hoping Mel's letter will get your details removed.

All now resolved - so the letter Mel and her team wrote worked :-)

Hey that's great news to hear via the forum. My silent little helpers back at the office didn't even tell me that they had dealt with this. Big pat on the back for Gareth tomorrow!
