Hi All
This is one of my biggest irritations with the IVA set up. It treats us all the same as people in BR. I feel they added the IVA item as a clause a few years ago. I have written to my MP and have had discussions with the chief executives of a number of orga I used to be involved with. The ruling is you can be a trustee if the board of directors agree. The problem is they all have to agree and this means you are exposed as an IVA holder at a full board meeting. Then they have to write to the charity commision to prove why tou are the best person for that position.
This whole farce is disgusting, we have chosen the IVA solution not BR. The truth is you would be sorted quicker and discharged in 6 months to a year if you went BR and then you could clearly be a trustee. Grrrrrr

Hi, nice to see you.
It is annoying that we get penalised for doing an IVA. It's about time people realised that we have taken steps to address the debt and are paying back what we can.
